FAA-Approved Training Device
SG-2B (BATD)
The SG-2B is an FAA-approved Basic Aviation Training Device (BATD) with 35 available instrument panel configurations so pilots can closely match their own aircraft's avionics. Loggable hours include:
- 2.5 hours toward Private Pilot
- 10 hours toward Instrument Rating
- Use for instrument currency and holding procedures
Unmatched configurability is the differentiator, allowing pilots to closely match their aircraft's exact avionics suite.
Jet & Custom Training Platform
SG-2C (Custom)
Configurable to nearly any aircraft, up to and including jet airliners, for training that isn't about logging hours but about getting as close as possible to a pilot's actual aircraft or target aircraft:
- Configurable to nearly any aircraft, up to and including jet airliners
- Platform for our jet transition course — preparing pilots for jet operations ahead of interviews or a move into professional flying
- Custom cockpit setup tailored to your specific training objectives

Accelerated Training Programs
Fly In.
Train Fast.
Fly Home Ready.
Our accelerator programs are built for pilots who want results without long-term local scheduling. Train over consecutive days in FAA-approved simulators and complete your goals efficiently, whether you're staying current or advancing your career. Consecutive-day scheduling, predictable timelines, and simulator reliability make our programs ideal for pilots traveling in for training.
Accelerated Programs
Complete training in days instead of weeks. Simulator-based instruction reduces total cost while maintaining professional, FAA-approved standards.
CFI & CFII Accelerators
Ideal for CFI and CFII candidates seeking focused, scenario-based instruction over consecutive days with dedicated instructor support.
IR Accelerator
Achieve your instrument rating efficiently with our focused accelerator program. Train over consecutive days in our FAA-approved.
IPC Accelerator
Stay instrument current with an IPC Accelerator designed for traveling pilots. Fly in, train over two days, and return home current and confident.
Your training calendar has a weather problem. The sim doesn't.
Maryland sits in one of the most weather-disrupted flight training corridors on the East Coast. Humidity, fog, thunderstorms, and winter ice don't care about your schedule. Here's what that actually costs a student pilot in this area.
